grandpa's recipe
The recipe behind our tau fu fah traces back to the late Mr. Lau Cheong (1908–1990). Four generations on, we still make it his way — patiently, daily, from scratch.
We're three siblings who grew up on our family's tau fu fah — and thought everyone deserved a nicer place to enjoy it. So in 2018 we opened a little shop in SS15, Subang Jaya, and dáo was born.
Every bowl of dáo fu fah starts from a family recipe that has been passed down, perfected and fussed over for four generations. Here's the short version.

Our soymilk and tau fu fah are made fresh every single day. The recipe is four generations old — the bowl in your hands is hours old.
The soy soft serve is spun from our own fresh soymilk — the newest chapter of a very old recipe.
dáo is run by three siblings — which makes every outlet feel a little like family. Because it is.
The doodles, the wordmark, the little characters — our brand is hand-drawn, just like our desserts are handmade.
